The offset is the distance from the mounting surface of the starter to the engine side of the ring gear. Starter Has one of the Highest Torque ratings with more efficiency and no heat soak problems. The Starter usually clears all headers as well as oil pans where OE starters will work. Has a 4.4:1 Gear Reduction Ratio and cranking power for up to 14:1 compression. With a lite weight starter like this at only 11 1/2 pounds, it should run you right up there with the big boys.
