This manifold is the best performing single plane race style manifold available for engines using the 1996 and later Vortec (Gen 1+) cylinder heads.

It has been proven over and over in dyno tests and on track use to provide unequaled power and performance. It features four corner water ports, a tapped fifth port in the front face, nitrous bosses, Shootout Series Manifolds for SB Chevrolet V8 w/Vortec After extensive development we have a manifold that outperforms the standard shootout manifold.
Depending on the specific engine combination we have seen as much as 20 extra horsepower over the standard Elite manifold. Note that this extra power is mostly showing up over 7,000 rpm. So if you aren’t turning Shootout Pro Series Manifolds for 1957-95 SB Chevrolet V8 These Shootout Pro Series Manifolds feature a larger plenum and bigger runners than the standard Shootout Manifolds.
It was designed specifically for the new range of large cubic inch small blocks and works best on engines over 400 cubic inches.
On the 400+ cu. in. small blocks now available there is no other manifold that will produce the power and torque. It is also available machined for injectors.
